The canyon continues on to Lake Powell but never slots up again after the drop. In Lower Antelope Canyon there are some ladders to climb so bring a light pack if allowed. When you get to the drop off in Lower Antelope you can either exit the canyon by climbing up a ladder and then rim walk back to your car, or you can backtrack up the canyon. Lost Eden Canyon is one of the finest canyons on the north side of Lake Powell. It is one of the closest canyons to Bullfrog and Halls Crossing Marina, making it very easy access. The wakeless speed that is regulated in the canyon makes it a great choice for beginning and experienced paddlers alike.

In many places the slot is just 3-4 feet wide so tight you have to work the paddles vertically up against the side of the kayak, you cant extend them out into the water as you do in a normal paddle stroke.

There are many easily accessed slot canyons along Hwy 95 either side of Hite at the northeast end of Lake Powell, including several tributaries of White Canyon and North Wash. Gravel is the longest branch of White Canyon, but nearby Long Canyon is also extensive, running for ten miles across a plateau of whitish Cedar Mesa sandstone, between distant dark red mesas of the Moenkopi Formation. The Labyrinth slot canyon is always my top recommendation for secret spots to explore at Lake Powell Make your way around Antelope Island and you’ll find Labyrinth Bay lying directly across from Gunsight Bay. This is a protected Slot Canyon and Horseshoe Bend Tours is the only company allowed at this particular Slot Canyon. You’ll do some off-roading which is a fun adventure and get some extraordinary views. Once you arrive, you’ll park about 1/4 mile away from the entrance to the Slot Canyon.
